laikinasis failas statusas T sritis informatika apibrėžtis Programos sukurta ↑failas laikiniesiems arba tarnybiniams duomenims programos veikimo metu įrašyti. Pavyzdžiui, dokumentų ↑rengyklės dažnai į laikinuosius failus įrašo naudotojo padarytus, bet dar neįrašytus dokumento koregavimus. Baigiant darbą su programa, jos laikinieji failai pašalinami. Tačiau jei darbas su programa baigiamas nekorektiškai (pvz., atsiradus kompiuterio triktims arba programų klaidoms), laikinieji failai gali išlikti.
